Pakistani art shines at Ajman exhibition celebrating cultural heritage
Ambassador Faisal Niaz Tirmizi hails cultural diplomacy at Bahi Ajman Palace Hotel

DUBAI: The Bahi Ajman Palace Hotel became a hub of artistic expression yesterday as it hosted a grand exhibition celebrating Pakistan’s rich cultural heritage.
The event, which attracted a diverse audience, featured an impressive array of traditional and contemporary artworks, reflecting the country’s vibrant artistic legacy.
Pakistan’s Ambassador to the UAE, Faisal Niaz Tirmizi, attended as the Chief Guest and commended the organisers for bringing together talent from across Pakistan and beyond.
The exhibition also saw participation from artists representing Syria, Egypt, and Lebanon, underscoring the event’s international appeal.

Cultural diplomacy at work
In his address, Ambassador Tirmizi emphasised the importance of cultural diplomacy in strengthening bonds between nations. "Art, music, cuisine, and sports unite people," he noted, stressing the significance of cross-cultural exchanges in fostering global harmony. He also highlighted the UAE’s unique position as a multicultural hub, home to over 200 nationalities.
Following the inauguration, the top Pakistani envoy took a guided tour of the exhibition, engaging with artists and appreciating their distinctive styles and creative expressions. The showcased pieces ranged from intricate traditional patterns to bold, contemporary compositions, offering visitors a glimpse into the evolution of Pakistani art.

Bridging communities through art
Iftikhar Hamdani, Area General Manager of Bahi Ajman Palace Hotel and Coral Beach Resort Sharjah, welcomed the Ambassador and reiterated the hotel’s commitment to fostering cultural dialogue through such initiatives. He expressed gratitude to the participating artists and guests for making the event a resounding success.
Adding a youthful voice to the occasion, Sarim Hamdani, the youngest speaker at the event, spoke about the potential of Pakistan’s youth in shaping the country’s future and reclaiming its historical glory. His speech resonated with attendees, reinforcing the role of young minds in driving progress.

To mark the occasion, Ambassador Tirmizi distributed certificates of appreciation to the participating artists, recognising their contributions to art and culture.

The event concluded on a festive note with a special cake-cutting ceremony in honour of Pakistan Day, celebrating the spirit of unity and cultural pride.
